Where to Eat in Mont Tremblant, Quebec

We recently returned from a wonderful visit to Mont Tremblant for Christmas. The resort of Tremblant is well known for their world class skiing and snowboarding, as well as year round outdoor activities. While there was not much snow when we visited, there were plenty of wonderful restaurants- see the full list of Village restaurants here. We did not have enough time to try them all, but here are 9 spots we did LOVE.

Note: If you’re staying at one of the resort hotels, you can walk to most locations on our list. If you’re staying off resort property and parking in one of the three lots (P1, P2, P3), take the free Cabriolet (an open air gondola) express up to the base of the village to access most of the spots on this list. The Cabriolet is open year round, but to check seasonal, and daily, hours, check here and scroll to the bottom of the page. More information on parking and accessibility to the Village here

Our Top Tremblant Dining Recommendations:

  1. Resto- Bar Le Shack, located slope side in the heart of the Village, is the perfect lunch-with-a-view spot. The restaurant is cheerfully decorated with a woodsy theme and offers massive windows that overlook the “Flying Mile” four person chair lift and beginner “magic carpet” area. There are also outdoor tables facing the Village Square, with daily activities and entertainment. Plenty of hearty pub food (nachos, poutine, mac and cheese, burgers) and warm hot cocoa and cold beers.
Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week; no reservations accepted.
    Menu here.
  2. Le Forge Bistro-Bar & Grill is located next to Le Shack, with similar views of the slopes. The main floor is more casual, with a menu of pub favorites, and a large bar in the middle of the restaurant. The second floor steakhouse is open for a formal dinner experience, with specialty steaks grilled over a maple wood fire.
Open for lunch and dinner on the main floor and dinner only on the second floor; reservations accepted for dinner only.

  1. La Maison da le Crêpe is located a little further down the hill, still in the heart of the village, in a cozy home. The restaurant is small, less than a dozen tables, so try off peak hours for a shorter wait. There are a wide variety of crepes for those in the mood for breakfast crepes, both savory and sweet. There are even options for those who prefer more “lunch” options like the pizza crepe and the hot dog crepe, as well as salads, soups, smoothies, and even Starbucks coffee
Open each day at 8am; no reservations accepted.

  1. La Savoie, located near the Crêperie is another very cozy renovated house, with two rooms for enjoying the experience of fondue. Guests can choose from either the fondue or the racelette experience. Both experiences offer a feast that includes meat, fish, chicken, cheese, salad, vegetables galore, and multiple types of bread and potatoes. The fondue options include cheese, broth, or red wine. Try and leave room for the dessert fondue!
Open each day for dinner at 4pm; reservations are accepted and we HIGHLY recommend making one as early as possible.
Menu here. Note: There is a per person fee, but half portions are offered for children.

  1. Yahoo Pizza Pub is a great option for a lighter meal (but still plenty of cheese!) of pizza and a great option for take out. The pub is housed in another small house at the base of the Village, with a small patio for outdoor dining. The pizzas are delicious and the restaurant has a lively atmosphere with music most afternoons and evenings. There’s also a large variety of beer (almost a dozen drafts!), wine, and cocktail options.
Open each day at 11am and stays open until 1am during the week and even 3am on popular weekends; no reservations accepted.
Menu here. Note: The small pizza is a great size and portion for one person.
  1. Microbrasserie La Diable is the quintessential pub, right in the heart of the Village, brewing a wide variety of crafts beers on site. The first microbrewery in the area, La Diable also has a great menu featuring burgers, sausages, salads, even pasta, and a generous Little Devils kids’ menu.
Open each day at 11:30am until 9pm during the week and 10pm on the weekends; no reservations accepted.
    Menu here.
  1. Chocolato is the perfect spot for a warm chocolate drink or cool gelato, right in the heart of the Village. There are two dozen varieties of chocolate-based dips that can be used to create delicious hot chocolates, on top of ice cream or gelato, and as a fondue for fruit. The small house has a few tables, but plenty of options to go. And if you find yourself exploring more of Canada, check out more of Chocolato’s locations.
Open everyday from 12p-9pm; no reservations accepted nor needed.
    Menu here.
  1. The restaurant at Hotel Quintessence (lower level of the stunning hotel) is a warm, inviting, sophisticated spot for a special dinner. There is a large wine bar and cellar to the right of the restaurant, which overlooks an inviting courtyard with peeks of Lake Tremblant. The menu includes unique fish and specialty steaks, and there is a children’s menu. Guests staying at a resort village can easily walk to Hotel Quintessence, but there is also valet parking for guests coming from outside the village.
Open all day, starting with breakfast, to-go lunch boxes, bistro for lunch, Après-Ski, dinner and options. Reservations are accepted and we suggest making a reservation for dinner or for the wine bar and cellar.
See all of the menus here.
  1. La Petit Cachée is located just outside the main village across Lake. The “mountain chalet” decor is cozy and warm, the staff is incredibly attentive, and there is an impressive wine cellar. The menu includes many locally sourced produce and meat, and be sure to leave room for dessert. Based on our server’s recommendation, we ordered the key lime pie (in the middle of winter!) which is now on the menu year round, and it was as good as promised.
Open each day at 5pm for dinner; reservations highly recommended. Take out available.
    Menu here.
