10 Tips for Using Disney World’s Fast Pass System

In anticipation of Disney Worlds’ reopening in a few weeks, we’re sharing our best tips for using the FastPass+ system:

We’ve been to Disney World in Orlando, Florida three times and absolutely love it! It is truly the one of the happiest places on Earth. The company does a wonderful job in making the parks clean, friendly, and easy to navigate. I shared some of our tips in previous posts on Planning a Trip, Dining Recommendations, the Contemporary Resort, and Disney Springs.

This week, I’d like to share the best ways to maximize the perks of the Fast Pass+ program. Fast Passes allow guests to reserve a specific time to access many of the attractions at all four parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) and therefore, bypass about 90% of the lines and wait time.

10 Ways to “Experience” Disney at Home

I know many people who are saddened by their recently canceled trips to DisneyWorld or DisneyLand. I can only imagine the level of disappointment and frustration. I never thought I would be a “Disney person” but we’ve visited three times with our children and it truly is a magical place. So while we can’t be there in real life, and while this list of ideas won’t necessarily make up for a canceled postponed trip, I thought I would share some ways kids can explore Disney related people, places, and ideas from home.

10 Must Do Activities at the Disney’s Contemporary Resort

There are so many options when it comes to hotel accommodations at Walt Disney World- everything from camping at Fort Wilderness to staying inside Cinderella’s Castle. We’ve been to Disney World three times, and each time we’ve stayed at a different level resort. On our second trip a few years ago, we splurged and stayed at the Contemporary Resort, considered a deluxe resort because of its amenities and proximity to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Parks. While we were there, we found so many fun things to do. Here are our top ten favorite things:

Year in Review: Highlights of 2018

2018 was an exciting, adventure filled year for my family. We started a bit early by purchasing a new 2018 Chevy Equinox, and to date-exactly 54 weeks later- we have over 26,000 miles on the odometer. We’ve been as far west as Texas, as far south as Florida, and as far north as Maine. We’re explored over a dozen states, over twenty National Parks Service locations, over two dozen museums, two baseball parks (that brings our total count to 24 out of the 30 MLB parks), and created countless memories.

Free Things to Do at Disney Springs

This week marks Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday- Happy Birthday to Mickey! As a child, I enjoyed visiting “the Florida mice” as we referred to them, but now, as an adult, I think I enjoy, and definitely appreciate, visiting Disney World more with my husband and children. We were just there this past summer and I am already scheming about ways to visit again in 2019!

We spent an entire afternoon at Disney Springs, a 120+ acre complex that encompasses over 60 options for dining (from snacks to quick service to full service restaurants), dozens of retail stores (including the world’s largest Disney merchandise store, World of Disney), and plenty of places to explore. The complex was completely remodeled and reopened in 2016 and is divided into four sections: The Landing, Marketplace, West Side, and Town Center.

Regular readers and followers know I am a planner. I start planning a trip to Disney World even earlier than I plan most other trips. Lately, I have found myself sharing some advice with friends who are going to Disney for the first time. I thought I would share my tips:
