One of the most impressive children’s museums we have ever visited (and our children aren’t even school age anymore!), the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum is a MUST visit for any family exploring (or living) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We had planned on a quick stop during our recent week in Pittsburgh and ended up spending over two hours exploring all the exhibits .
This summer, we enjoyed a wonderful few days exploring Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s second largest city, located in the western part of the state. One of the highlights of our visit was the opportunity to explore The Frick Pittsburgh Museums and Gardens, the former home of Henry Clay Frick, founder of the H.C. Frick & Company, one of the largest coke producing companies in the world during the early 20th century. Frick’s company supplied fuel for the iron and steel industries and Frick became business partners with Andrew Carnegie and later became the chairman of the Carnegie Steel Company.
This week we’re celebrating the start of football season by sharing our tour of Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and UPitt Panthers. On a recent trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we had the opportunity to tour the 68,000 seat stadium and many popular areas of the stadium, as well as a few spots the typical ticket holder doesn’t get to see. The tour is fun and engaging and everyone (even us Giants fans!) will have a good time.
The most visited museum in Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Science Center is home over two dozens exhibits and 100 interactive activities spread across four floors, welcoming over half a million visitors each year. On our recent visit to Pittsburgh, we enjoyed a whole afternoon exploring the Carnegie Science Center and testing our knowledge and understanding of everything from engineering to astronomy and space exploration to geology, biology, and marine life to health sciences.
